MAJO Team-Building Guide: Roles and Synergy

At A Glance

  • Build around the four combat roles instead of raw rarity alone.
  • Manual dodge, block and Burst timing can overcome a power deficit.
  • Concentrate scarce upgrades on one functional core team.

The official role structure in MAJO divides Witches into Infiltration, Block, Enhancement and Amplification. Those labels are a practical team-building framework. A balanced formation can survive mechanics, create safe damage windows and use Burst attacks more effectively than a collection of individually strong attackers.

Start with a job for every team slot

Choose a core damage dealer, a Witch who can protect or interrupt, and support that improves the team’s actual win condition. Infiltration generally points toward offensive pressure, Block toward absorbing or answering attacks, Enhancement toward strengthening allies, and Amplification toward increasing the value of damage or effects. Exact kits differ, so read each skill rather than treating the label as a complete build.

A useful test is to ask what happens when the first plan fails. If the main attacker is controlled or the Burst window is delayed, can the team remain alive? If not, replace redundant damage with protection or utility before investing more levels.

Use manual play at progression walls

Auto battle is efficient for familiar stages, but it cannot always judge a dangerous tell or preserve an important skill. On a failed stage, take manual control and watch the enemy sequence. Dodge attacks that would break the formation, block when the mechanic rewards it, and save Burst damage for a Knockdown or another clearly favourable window.

If survival is comfortable but the timer expires, improve damage uptime or amplification. If the team collapses early, change defensive timing or role balance. If one character falls repeatedly, examine positioning and support before assuming the entire roster is under-levelled.

Upgrade for function, not collection size

Keep the first investment concentrated on a team that covers the four jobs your current content requires. Levels and basic gear should remain reasonably even so that one weak link does not collapse the formation. More specialised skill or equipment investment can favour the main damage dealer, but only after the defensive core survives reliably.

Before replacing a developed Witch with a new pull, compare the role, skill interaction and cost of bringing the newcomer to parity. Rarity is valuable, but immediate synergy and available materials often matter more to current progress.

Build a short daily routine

  • Claim time-limited login, mail and event rewards.
  • Spend regenerating stamina on the current upgrade bottleneck.
  • Use expiring or capped mode attempts.
  • Advance campaign until progress becomes inefficient.
  • Review event milestones and save premium currency intentionally.

Final Thoughts

MAJO is at its best when roster planning and active timing support each other. Build one coherent core, use manual controls to understand failures, and spend around the next real bottleneck. That approach remains useful even as balance changes introduce new Witches and events.
