Understanding Skill Inheritance Basics
Skill Inheritance is the system in FEH that lets a hero inherit (“learn from”) skills of another hero (the source). In the Allies → Growth menu, you can choose to inherit up to a limited number of skills from one source unit.

Generally, most passive (A/B/C) and many special / assist skills can be inherited, subject to weapon/movement restrictions. But exclusive weapons, unique unit signature skills, and some assist skills (like Dance / Sing) cannot be passed on.
Best Skill Candidates to Inherit
- High SP skills that your hero cannot acquire natively — these boost scoring value.
- Support / utility skills (e.g. Drives, Tactics) that fill synergy gaps in your team.
- Movement assist skills or positioning skills (if your team lacks mobility).
- Counter skills (e.g. Distant Counter) for melee units to fight ranged threats.
- Avoid over-thinking inheritance: it’s often better to inherit a strong, synergistic skill than try to perfect every bonus.
When & How to Use Inherit
- Select the target hero (the one who will learn new skills).
- Choose a source hero / manual. Up to five skills (depending on version) can be selected.
- The source hero is consumed or removed.
- The target gains those inherited skills unlearned — then pay SP ×1.5 to learn them.
Be strategic:
- Don’t waste a rare hero as source unless the skills are critical.
- For multi-step skill chains, sometimes inherit prerequisite skills from cheaper units first, then finish with the final skill from a higher rarity hero. This reduces waste.
- Consider your hero’s role. Don’t inherit a heavy offensive skill for a support/ healer unit if synergy is weak.
