Destiny: Rising – Character Tier List & Best Picks

At a Glance:

  • S-Tier heroes are the most powerful and versatile across PvE and PvP.
  • A-Tier heroes are strong alternatives, excelling in specific roles or lineups.
  • B- and C-Tier heroes are more situational and not worth heavy investment unless you really enjoy them.

S-Tier Characters

These are the strongest heroes to prioritize if you want to progress quickly and handle tough content:

  • Tan-2 – One of the best single-target damage dealers. Excels in boss fights and boosts team performance with buffs.
  • Jolder – A durable tank with strong crowd-control. Protects your squad and holds the line in PvP.
  • Umeko – A hybrid who brings both damage and utility. Her debuffs increase team output, making her very flexible.
  • Estela – A wave-clearing powerhouse thanks to strong area-of-effect damage and summon abilities.
  • Wolf – Offers mobility and reliable sustained damage. Works well in most team compositions.
  • Maru – Balanced between offense and defense. Provides utility that shines in longer or tougher battles.

These heroes are the best long-term investments, giving you power and consistency across all modes.

A-Tier Characters

These heroes are strong and worth leveling if you don’t yet have a full S-Tier lineup:

  • Gwynn – Solid all-rounder who scales well with gear.
  • Xuan Wei – Useful for damage setups with reliable output.
  • Finnala – Excels in certain PvE scenarios with great efficiency.
  • Ning Fei – Flexible and capable of handling mid-to-late game content.
  • Kabr – Valuable in specific team compositions where utility is needed.

A-Tier heroes are excellent gap-fillers and often shine in specialized situations, especially if you build around them.

B-Tier Characters

These heroes can be serviceable early on, but tend to fall behind at higher levels:

  • Ikora – Decent but easily outclassed by stronger casters.
  • Attal – Can perform well with investment but lacks the raw power of higher tiers.

Use them as stepping stones, but don’t commit too many resources once stronger heroes become available.

C-Tier Characters

These are generally not recommended outside of personal preference. They lack impact in competitive or difficult content. Invest in them only if you enjoy their style, but don’t expect them to carry you.

How to Use This Tier List

  1. Focus on S-Tier first. If you pull or unlock one, prioritize leveling and gearing them.
  2. Build teams with synergy. Combine tanks, damage dealers, and support heroes for balance.
  3. Upgrade wisely. Gear and skill levels make a big difference, even for top-tier heroes.
  4. Use A-Tier as fillers. They are reliable when S-Tier options aren’t available.
  5. Stay flexible. Updates and balance changes may shift rankings over time.
