Core Building Priorities
Headquarters (HQ)
The HQ is your gating building: its level determines the maximum level of almost all other buildings, unlocks new content/features (new buildings, higher hero/troupe caps), and increases base stats. Always plan your resources and upgrades to maintain steady HQ progression.
Tech Center / Research Buildings
Without good research, your upgrades, heroes, troops, and building effectiveness lag. Research unlocks better troop stats, building speedups, production boosts, etc. Upgrading the Tech Center is almost always the second priority after HQ.
Resource Production & Storage Buildings
Fields / Farmland, Iron Mines, Coin Vault / Gold Mines etc. produce the raw materials (food, iron, gold) needed for almost everything. Equally important are warehouses / vaults to increase protected resources (so that attacks don’t steal as much). Upgrading these steadily is essential.
Military / Troop / Combat Buildings
Barracks (for training troops), combat centers (Tank / Aircraft / Missile), etc. These are important but usually come after you have basic resource flow and research. Only start prioritizing these when your economy and heroes are ready.
Early Game (HQ Level ~1-15) Priorities
- Always upgrade HQ to unlock new buildings and features.
- Keep the Tech Center upgraded to support HQ requirements and research benefits.
- Build and upgrade multiple resource production buildings to ensure food, iron, and gold inflow.
- Upgrade Warehouses / Vaults (storage) to protect resources.
- Build or upgrade Barracks to increase troop training capacity.
Mid Game (HQ Level ~16-25) Priorities
- Continue upgrading HQ and Tech Center in tandem to unlock higher building levels and advanced features.
- Increase levels of resource production and storage buildings, ensuring they are balanced so one resource doesn’t bottleneck progress.
- Upgrade combat / troop-center buildings to improve your army strength.
- Level up Training Bases to improve Hero EXP generation.
- Invest in support buildings like the Hospital to efficiently heal troops rather than losing them.
Late Game Priorities
- Push HQ to the highest level you can afford, to unlock everything the game has to offer.
- Max out core buildings (Tech Center, Warehouse, Combat Centers) to best possible levels.
- Specialize: based on your play style, you might lean more into combat buildings, hero-centers, or more resource buildings, depending whether you are focusing PvP, PvE, or seasonal events.
- Upgrade “help / alliance / support” buildings that reduce construction or upgrade times, gain buffs, etc.
Mistakes to Avoid When Upgrading Buildings
- Upgrading core military buildings without sufficient resource production & storage → leads to long queues, resource shortfall.
- Ignoring the warehouse / vault protection; storage too low means losing much via enemy raids.
- Over-focusing on decorative or low-impact buildings early on before core ones.
- Letting builder(s) sit idle; try to always have upgrades in queue.
Final Thoughts
If you want efficient, steady progression in Last War: Survival, your building order matters a lot. Start with HQ and Tech Center to unlock essential functions, build up resource production and storage so you can sustain growth, then move into military and support buildings. By avoiding common pitfalls like spreading upgrades too thin or neglecting storage, you’ll maintain power and flexibility as the game scales.
