At a Glance:
- Mithril is a rare material required for upgrading Red Hero Gear beyond Mythic, especially every +20 levels.
- To use Mithril you need Mythic Gear at level 100 + Mastery Forging 10, then convert into Red Gear and use Mithril in “special upgrades” at certain level thresholds.
- You can get Mithril from Arena Shops, Champagne Fair (event/shop), and via certain upgrade / enhancement milestones.
What Is Mithril?
- Mithril is a rare silvery metal in Kingshot described as “infusing Hero Gear with extraordinary power.”
- It is specifically used when upgrading Red Hero Gear. When Mythic (Gold rarity) gear reaches level 100 and has Mastery Forging level 10, it can be imbuement-upgraded to Red Gear.
- Once you have Red Gear, further enhancements in the Red Gear path require Mithril at certain level milestones: at +20, +40, +60, +80, and +100 levels.
How to Use Mithril
Here are the steps / requirements to use Mithril effectively in Kingshot:
- Reach Mythic Gear Level 100 + Mastery Forging Level 10
You cannot use Mithril until the gear is at Mythic rarity, has been upgraded to level 100, and its Mastery Forging has reached level 10. - Imbue into Red Gear
Once the above is met, you can “turn” (imbue) the Mythic Gear into Red Gear. This process also requires merging two additional Mythic Gears into it. - Mithril Upgrades at Level Thresholds
After becoming Red Gear, further upgrades beyond level 100 require Mithril at every 20 levels (i.e. when going from +0 to +20, +20 to +40, etc.) - Combine with Mythic Gears
For each Mithril upgrade, you also need a number of Mythic Gear items (often more than one) to sacrifice or merge.
How to Get Mithril
Mithril is not easy to come by. It’s rare and usually tied to advanced content. Sources include:
- Arena Shop — one of the main shops where Mithril is purchasable when available.
- Champagne Fair — another in-game shop/event where Mithril is offered.
- Events or Limited Offers tied to Hero Gear upgrades / challenges may also reward Mithril.
When Should You Use It?
Because Mithril is expensive and difficult to obtain, use it wisely:
- Only use it when your gear meets all prerequisites (Mythic level 100 + mastery forging).
- Plan around those milestone levels (20, 40, 60, etc.) so you don’t waste resources.
- Focus on your strongest heroes first — upgrading Red Gear of heroes you use often gives much bigger returns than spreading Mithril thinly across many heroes.
Final Thoughts
Mithril is one of the highest-tier gear materials in Kingshot. Its function is purely about pushing Hero Gear from Mythic into Red and enabling powerful upgrades at every 20 levels. Because of its cost and rarity, you’ll want to save (and farm) it carefully, only use it when gear is ready, and prioritize your main heroes.
