At a Glance:

  • The Alliance HQ is the central facility that anchors an alliance’s territory and bonuses.
  • It can be destroyed, usually by coordinated enemy assaults, causing loss of alliance bonuses and territory effects.
  • When the HQ is destroyed, the alliance must rebuild, and many connected benefits are disabled until restoration.

What Is the Alliance HQ?

In Kingshot, the Alliance HQ is a pivotal facility for any alliance. Some of its core functions include:

  • Territory Anchor: The HQ acts as the base point for an alliance’s territory/banners. Alliance’s control over resource nodes, flags, and bonuses depends on its active HQ.
  • Bonuses & Buffs: Cities, resource nodes, banners, and allied members located within or connected to the Alliance’s territory receive stat boosts and resource-benefits. The HQ is central to maintaining these.
  • Defense Focus: Because it’s so important, the Alliance HQ is typically well defended and becomes a strategic target for enemies seeking to weaken or destabilize the alliance.

How Can the HQ Be Destroyed?

Yes — the Alliance HQ can be destroyed under certain circumstances. Here’s how:

  • It requires coordinated attack efforts by enemy alliance members. The HQ must be breached by removing or overcoming defensive structures, banners, and likely continuous assaults.
  • The process might take time; some players report it took several hours to fully destroy an HQ.
  • In many cases, during the HQ destruction process, the defending alliance may try to hold ground, repair, or reinforce defenses.

What Happens if the HQ Is Destroyed?

When an Alliance HQ is destroyed, the consequences are significant:

  1. Loss of Territory Flags & Bonuses
    – All flags and buildings connected to that HQ (territory banners, resource nodes, etc.) become inactive.
    – Territory bonuses that alliance members had from being in the HQ’s active zone are lost.
  2. Resource Production & Node Access Impacted
    – Resource nodes that were within alliance territory (connected to HQ via banners) stop yielding their alliance resource incomes.
    – Some benefits tied to the territory (such as passive resource-generation or certain buffs) are disabled.
  3. Downtime & Rebuilding
    – After HQ destruction, the alliance will need to rebuild. That involves repairing/reconstructing the HQ itself, then reestablishing banners, reclaiming territory, etc.
    – During this restoration period, the alliance is more vulnerable, as many defensive structures or control points might be disabled. Players report ~20 hours of repair/recovery time in some cases.
  4. Allied Member Impact
    – Individual members lose the bonuses (stat, resource, etc.) they benefited from when their cities were in HQ-connected territory.
    – Depending on map layout, members may have to relocate or adjust banner placement to reconnect to HQ once it’s rebuilt.

Strategies to Prevent HQ Destruction & Recover Faster

Given the impact, here are tips alliances should use:

  • Reinforce and guard the HQ heavily with troops, strong Heroes, and defensive structures.
  • Maintain strong banner connections around the HQ so even partial territory doesn’t collapse immediately if some banners are lost.
  • Coordinate with alliance members for defense, repair, and rapid recovery when HQ is under attack.
  • Prioritize rebuilding HQ quickly if it’s destroyed, to restore bonuses, territory, and member benefits.
